Good pliers and tweezers

I'm new to jewelry making but I think pliers and tweezers are really good for cutting wire and collecting beads and such. Includes 3 spools of beading wire. BUT, this wire is really very thin. I know it's supposed to be thin but I think it came out thin. I cut it before I wanted to cut it, it's so thin. You can easily cut this wire with regular scissors. I wanted to use it to wrap a rock, but it's too weak to wrap a rock.
