Great bag, but instructions?

Looks like a solid and quality bag! Bought to increase the storage space of our little Nissan Rogue. Drove from Arizona to California without incident. However, the instructions were ridiculously minimal! I am grateful for the 23 second YouTube video that someone kindly posted with important info on how to attach the loop/straps (look for the Kingbird roof bag). We also enlisted the help of a former scout/climber to help us figure out how to fully tighten the straps once our bag was full. I wish I could offer tips here, but my husband has learned his lesson (and won't be back). I can suggest that the extra straps (if you don't have a roof rack) actually come undone; no need to cut them like we originally planned. Rschunimagu. To secure the excess strap, connect the straps and roll them up from the bottom, then secure firmly with yellow velcro around all straps. Another potentially helpful tip: Once you have arrived at your destination, you can simply unfasten the seat belts, possibly mark them (with adhesive tape, etc.) depending on your position in the car (front driver, front passenger, etc.) .) if you are carrying the same load above on the way back, you can simply reattach the straps, which have already been correctly adjusted, to their original position on the bag. No need to repeat the tightening process again! The trick is that your load/configuration has to be pretty close to your original ride or you'll have to spend time changing straps. I would also like to point out that there was no extra noise while driving and at times we even forgot it was there. Consult your vehicle's owner's manual for the maximum roof load. Good luck and have a safe trip!
