I recently bought a few items from Mauviel M'cook including a 9.5 inch skillet. They are good and more durable than All-Clad. I bought an All Clad pan. but reading the instructions for everything NOT to do (including using a dish sponge, too much heat, etc.) it just seemed pretty brittle for the price. I love my cookware to withstand some abuse so I returned it and got a MauLOT. Pancakes turn out great in this pan and sauces, oatmeal, custard and custard don't burn as easily as they do in my old Revere Ware pots (but I still use my old Revere Ware 6 liter pot for soups or boiling water - I, um to be honest I see no point in an expensive pot for boiling water). Yes - Mauviel M'cook is pricey - but just stock up on a few basics. It costs money. .
