I wasn't expecting much from this product. I figured it would be like all the other bottle caps in my closet. I was wrong. I think the reason for this is that it only applies to sparkling wines that come in a standard 750ml champagne bottle. Last night I opened a bottle of cheap champagne and poured myself a glass. I only got back to him after a few hours. It was completely flat (unlike good champagne). I used a bottle cap. When I opened it today, I let go of the lever (which fits perfectly on the second bottle neck) and it popped - much like the first time I opened it. I was seriously surprised. So real champagne should be the same or better. For your health! :)
