Review on Enhance Your Audio Experience with the YAMAHA YAS-109 Sound Bar: Built-In Subwoofers, Bluetooth, and Alexa Voice Control Included by Dila Annisa ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing I've ever used, a great item for everyone!

Although I love isodynamic sound, the combined Music + Surround mode with the YST-FSW050 external subwoofer suits me quite well as a versatile daily option for background music while working, for watching movies, and, to be honest, for curling too very good option. I will repent that I took it at a flea market - for the full price, perhaps I would not have dared, not knowing all the nuances, partly impulsively, but then I began to delve into the range of available use cases and was pleasantly surprised by their number. For example, apart from the ability to receive a signal via Bluetooth from your phone, the soundbar can connect to Wifi itself and stream Spotify or Tidal without an additional sound source. There is a built-in Amazon Alexa voice assistant - yes, this is only English, but it also allows you to perform the simplest operations with a smart home in 2022, if your devices have the appropriate skill, and there are quite a few of them, by the way: for example, Yeelight lamps, ecosystem devices Tuya / Smart Life / Mi Home and many others, although the bundle, of course, only works through the cloud, i. E. in the absence of the Internet, everything will rise. The soundbar works as a dlna device, which allows it to be integrated into a local smart home controlled by Home Assistant: although native integration can only control the volume, other operations, such as switching sources or operating modes, are also quite feasible by emulating remote control commands through a universal IR controller. The built-in subwoofers are quite even until you connect an external one, after which the return to the original sound causes severe discomfort, although the extra wire under your feet causes certain troubles, because. wireless subwoofers are supported only in older models - YAS 209 and above. In general, if you need an advanced multifunctional soundbar and do not want to fork out for more serious models with similar features like the Sonos Beam, then the Yamaha YAS 109 is more than a worthy candidate.

Pros
  • Overall sound quality, standalone operation without an external audio source, voice assistant support (Amazon Alexa), Home Assistant integration, advanced networking capabilities (Bluetooth, Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, dlna)
Cons
  • At a "lying" arrangement strongly collects dust. Built-in subs after full-time comparison with the external still leave much to be desired. Inability to connect an external subwoofer via Wifi.
