Does not work with some microphones for applications that record on a smartphone or tablet.

I was hoping for an external replacement microphone for my phone and tablet. However, this did not work with my Samsung tablet, iPad or Samsung phone when using an analog condenser microphone. He used a dynamic microphone taken from an old portable tape recorder. The system software controls the selection of the microphone input, not whether I use a jack. Maybe my condenser mic has the wrong impedance to handle enough signal to trigger the input, but my goal was to use the gear I have and not buy more. As a lavalier microphone, I simply use headphones. /microphone for close-ups and explore its value for tabletop interviews and background recording. The headphone and microphone combo that came with my smartphone also works as a microphone on my tablets. I can also get an extension cord and use the little dynamic mic I end up with. The quality of the old dynamic mic was better than the built-in mics in terms of background noise reduction, so this was a good find. Other options I would consider when purchasing additional hardware would be a Bluetooth mic or a Bluetooth headphone and mic combo. or a microphone specially designed for my tablet or smartphone. I've seen several plugins designed for 3-way connection of smartphones and tablets. Most of them simply attach to the device and give you no spacing between your subject and the tablet or a convenient way to place it on a microphone stand. For something like this but with a cable you might need to look deeper or find a way to get an external cable to work, bearing in mind that you'll need to get it working with the 3 channel plugin once you have it to the device. I'm saving this part for now as I'm getting results with one of my old mics. You may prefer a simple wireless connection that performs the same function. Hope this will be helpful. I've spent a lot of time looking for solutions to bypass modern devices that don't have external mic inputs or that combine into one plug. So I want to spare you the hassle I had to go through.
