Review on πŸ”§ Essential SK Hand Tools 41427 7-Piece Metric Hex Bit Socket Set for Precision Work by Mike Slippy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

SK Tool Quality Unfair Judged

I bought the SAE and METRIC versions of these sets 30 years ago and they are still as good as they were in 1990 as they are today. In 2016 they are the best in terms of value for money. SK are first class tools. What's discouraging is that Revain's unbiased rating system actually has serious flaws. One person who "abused the tool" complained about the tool. He "admitted using a punch - with those non-tools." Folks, these aren't percussive instruments! After using these ineffective tools with Punch, he complained about the tool's design and gave Revain a low score. Revain then automatically gave him a low score based on the average of all scores received up to that point. Come on Revane - fix it! Have someone review them and keep up to date so you can help us, customers, and others to buy the right tools for our needs. If the tool is used improperly, this rating should be allowed, but not rated. It's important that all reviews that conform to Revains etiquette are allowed, good or bad. SK tools are quite expensive. But honestly, everyone probably wishes they were a little cheaper. The prices of some SK tools reach those of the "Big Three" companies (Snap On, MAC and MATCO). PROTO is another premier tooling company now owned by Stanley Tools. When I think of Proto, I think of PROfessional TOOLs.

Pros
  • Set of 7 metric hex sockets built to last
Cons
  • Protection
