I installed this plate sized plate in a corner and can confirm it works. I checked the radius and then we started our 70 pound 7 month old animal. It only takes one click to learn. The next time she was in the zone, the vibration and tone held her in place. I haven't heard that signal since then. We don't leave the correction collar on all the time, but she didn't get into the danger zone without it either. The open dishwasher door used to be a battleground, nothing more. I've already thought about the Christmas tree and plan to get another one to set up a second zone there. We have a "two for" limit. In our home, the transmitter is positioned to block plants on one side of the wall and the kitchen counter and dishwasher on the other side of the wall. The zone radius is easily 12 feet. There was no 9 volt battery in the collar.
