I have been looking for replacement hand grips for my son's bike and have always been disappointed with the types you can find at big stores or local sporting goods stores. They've always just been plain rubber grips with little ridges around the grip that always fall apart, and these grips are tricky to fit because they have to be pressed onto the handlebars (soapy water usually helps, but only if the handlebars are clean). and have no residue) These grips are completely different. The rubber grip is slightly oversized for added cushioning. The entire unit slides over this and each end attaches to the handlebars with a metal ring secured with a screw. This setting also allows you to adjust the direction and angle of the various grip patterns on the grip body to your liking. Installation was easy and once secured it doesn't move anywhere. I am very impressed with these handlebars and would recommend them to anyone. It's a great replacement and even good enough to use the upgrade
