People underestimate the importance of natural wooden branches to birds compared to plastic branches. Not only is it better for the birds' feet and their structural health (the way they stand affects their health and they stand A LOT), but they love and need to chew. Chewing on treated, varnished, or otherwise defaced wood, or worse, plastic, is bad for them! That's exactly what the company claims: natural, untreated vines. I have grown grape vines and can attest that it is grape wood. They come with no chemical odor, dust or anything else that would make me uncomfortable if I were to abandon my bird. I have a parrot and he loves them, both thick and thin branches. He loves to chew on them and sleep on them, and they're tough enough to take a lot of chewing so they'll last a long time. They are the perfect length and width to fit in different places inside or outside of a standard cage and can be easily moved. This is a good size for anything from a parrot or finch to a budgie, cockatiel or a slightly larger bird like a kennel. I would not use them for a larger bird.
