This review will be more insightful on connecting a rear camera as Boss feels that shouldn't be in the instructions. The rear view camera comes with a long video connector with two short red wires on each end and a short power connector with a red and black wire that connects to the camera. Look at the wiring on the back of the radio. There is a purple wire with a white stripe marked as the rear camera. You plug it into the short red connector that comes out of the video jack on the long video cable. There is also a short red wire on the other end that you connect to the red power cable and connect both to the backup taillight + wire. When you turn on the reverse gear, the reverse lights will turn on and the rear camera will turn on and a signal will be sent to the radio to switch to the rear camera. You can also connect the red power wires to a push button switch on the dash and then to the 12V socket (you'll need to buy your own parts for this option) so you can turn on the backup camera without going into reverse.
