Review on MOOG 513224 Wheel Bearing Assembly by Jim Raju

Revainrating 5 out of 5

What I Expected From Wheels

Bought for 2008 Chrysler 300C. The front hub nut is 36mm not 35mm like some YouTube videos for 2005-2014 non 8 cyl. specified. Torque is 184 feet per second. My rear hub nut (32mm) has loosened over the years causing the ABS SPEED SENSOR mismatch. Three yellow gauges in the right corner of the dashboard. The malfunction worsens over time and eventually leads to emergency operation, i.e. only first gear. Fun to hold up traffic on a 5 mile bridge. For this reason, if you are replacing a hub, check them all. My original hub was SKF (hub means bearing assembly). MOOG seems like the right choice, well made and labeled, no reason to suspect it won't fit as other buyers report MOOG products being sold here. The lube wasn't enough, I had to add more. I have seen wheel hubs from other manufacturers with fully sealed bearings inside and out. I don't entirely agree that this one is open from the outside, but it's exactly the same as the original. As far as I can tell from a short test drive it fits and works well.

Pros
  • Good Wheels
Cons
  • Sad Package
