Review on 🔌 High-Performance 50Ft RV Power Cord | 40 Amp AWG8 Extension Cord | Truck Trailer Motorhome Camper RV Cord | Grip Handles and Power Supply Cable | Happybuy by Michael Adams

This cable works great if you only have 50 amps of power due to a second air conditioner.

This cable works great. If you have a 50 amp service because you have a second air conditioner, this cable will work for you. If you have an AC unit it will all run on the same 30 amp circuit. This cable gives you two 30A circuits (minimum (10 AWG wire rated at 30A)) when connected to a 50A plug. That's twice the capacity. If you have a large washer and dryer this cable may not be for you as you may be drawing over 30 amps per leg or circuit. However, think of it this way. In your home, you don't need a cord that carries 20 amps to your desk lamp (which draws about 3 amps) just because the outlet is plugged into a 20 amp switch. All you need is a cable that will carry the required current load. The advantage of this cord is that it is easy to use. No more lifting weights and rings with heavy 6 gauge line. I mounted an 18" Camco 50 amp stock on my trailer and used this 36" extension. I only have 50 amp service because I have two AC units. Loads must be balanced between two 50 amp circuits at the camper from the factory, ie one AC unit per branch or circuit. I hope this helps explain the wire size of the cables and the current loads.
