Our home is in a secluded forest with a 600 foot driveway. I bought and installed this device in January 2020. I charged it when I first installed it and had to charge it again in August 2021. The device fires about a dozen times a day; more when our neighbor mows his lawn. I installed the device 300 feet from home and it works great. I pointed it six feet off the ground and down ten feet from the edge of the driveway. Sensitivity is set to 4. It will catch our cat walking down the driveway. The deer started it too. I did not put batteries in the receiver. I use a power supply and a timer. The power supply turns itself off between 3am and 5am so the paper messenger doesn't wake us up.
