Much harder than expected
These "Impact" pads are very flexible but not very soft. I suspect it's better than bare metal on wood, but I've tried replacing the hard plastic supports with something softer to reduce vibration. I will say that they appear to be made from the same material as my MuirSkate Beasto brand shocks, so maybe they're just industry standards. In short, if you are only looking for vibration reduction with softer wheels.
