First of all, I've been a Eufy customer for several years. Started with their robot vacuum and got a few more items from them. My personal experience, they've had great customer service over the years! So when we recently had an issue in our house and started our security camera research, Eufy was definitely on my list. After two weeks of research and weighing the pros and cons of wired and wireless networks, they all settled on EufyCam. 2 and ArloPro. After reading a few test reports and watching Youtube, I decided on the EufyCam 2. I'll start with my only criticism: there should be a charging cable for EVERY camera. These little charging cables don't cost much to make, especially if your parent company is Anker. I had to dig and find wires all over the house to charge all the cameras at the same time. Next to. I love these cameras! Setup was VERY easy. It took maybe 10 minutes for all 5 cameras (along with those 4 I bought another one). The only issue I haven't fixed yet was adding cameras to HomeKit. I've tried multiple times and it won't connect. Not a big deal as I'm not fully integrated into the HomeKit ecosystem so no big deal. Each camera came with its own hardware and two different mounting options. I went with the screw option as it would take some time to steal. However, I have set the anti-theft device, which emits a siren when unscrewed. I really liked that they also included 2 mounting stickers to help you place the holes. This was good as I could just put it where I wanted to drill and it hides behind the mounting system. Pencil markings etc. are therefore omitted. After installing it and using it for 2 weeks, I can say that I'm really glad I chose Eufy. The picture quality is excellent, day and night. In the app I would start with maximum sensitivity and gradually decrease it to my liking. The app has worked flawlessly for me so far. I get quick notifications, playback is fairly instant, and I've had no issues connecting cameras so far. It works without Wi-Fi, so you can't expect this or any other wireless camera to be perfect. I'll be adding a Wi-Fi 6 mesh system over the next few months to help, but again these are wireless cameras so don't be fussy. In conclusion, if you are looking for a great 1080p recording, FREE self-monitoring wireless system that you can take anywhere, I would look no further. Backed by years of experience, Eufy offers phenomenal customer service, so rest assured that if you have an issue, it will be resolved. Don't forget that these little cameras also look great in your home.
