Review on Creality Extruder 3D Filament Aluminum by Jim Reinhardt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Opponents in previous reviews were wrong.

Arrived on time, all parts (a few extra screws were included) were in the bag and all that was missing was detailed installation instructions. That being said, there are LOTS of how-to videos on how to install this update on the Creality Ender 3 printer. I'm almost a total newbie to 3D printing, so I watched a few (neither was better than the other). I came across it). ) and after looking at the details I decided there weren't any real gotchas, other than maybe making sure you didn't overtighten any of the screws when installing. Use the new screws provided as they match the aluminum base and are the correct length. Make sure the new screws are the same length and head type as the ones you are removing. Is this mod really necessary? I didn't think of it initially but decided to do it anyway after watching tutorial videos online. I've only had this Ender 3 for a little over 3 weeks and when I removed the plastic parts that went to the printer's extruder feed I saw that the hole was already starting to wear out and it wouldn't be long before it started. causes disturbances in the feed! Unless you're making other changes to your Ender 3 (maybe other Creality printers like the CR-10, etc.) then do so. You won't regret it in the long run!

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model
