I usually just use the glue spatula that I attached with my fingers! It really helps keep my hands a little cleaner as the glue is on the brush instead of spreading all over my arms, shirt, pants etc. I've been using it for about a month now and sometimes I forget to clean it after use, then I have to or wait for it to dry completely to peel off the glue. Sometimes it seems to me like the bristles are coming loose, but so far that hasn't happened. Overall I like this little kit, it's very similar to the Rockler version but cheaper. I've seen some of the other reviews saying they don't like the bristle angle of the brush but I don't mind as they are good for spreading. This is a good addition to any woodworker I feel.
