I don't want to bother finding cleats or the design/placement requires them on drywall to be attached. They are significantly stronger than your typical drywall screw + thinner anchor. Ideal for IKEA wall mounting. I used them to attach various IKEA wall cubes (about 10 pounds each) to the 50 year old crumbling drywall/plasterboard in my apartment. With two for each cube, it easily supports the weight of closet shelves, plus it's filled with heavy hardcover books AND my 15 pound cats jump on them. The only downside I can think of is that you have to drill a decent hole in the wall. Since installing drywall isn't a problem for me, I'm not overly concerned. Another thing is that when screwed in almost flush to the wall, lever anchors can sometimes snag on the paint which can cause cheaper latex paint to curl/crack. Screw I would use two, spaced evenly to distribute the load, for every 40 pounds of weight your wall must support to be absolutely secure.
