Review on ๐ŸŒฟ Cedar Organic Shampoo by Kin Organics: Natural Hair Care Solution for Shine and Strength by Kim Adams

Cleans badly, does not foam and matts the coat. Pass this!

First I got the wrong product so I ended up buying and using kin+kind Fig and Cedar Shampoo. I have been using only organic shampoos on my dogs for many years. It has ways of beating the competition. Let's start with the fact that it doesn't lather at all. Shampoo only foams where it gets on the coat. It doesn't spread easily in the coat even if you put warm water in the coat to spread the shampoo a bit. I ended up using a lot more dog shampoo than usual and still felt like the shampoo wasn't doing its job well. In terms of cleaning, he did a really pathetic job of cleaning the fur. Both lap dogs were clean enough from not showering for a month in the fall. The shampoo did not clean well despite heavy use and repeated shampooing. Maybe the fact that the shampoo doesn't run means it doesn't rinse out well? I used warm water and rinsed a few times so it really shouldn't be a problem. After drying, I noticed that my little pup's normally shiny black coat now looks greyish and dull. The Golden Retriever (which took almost half a bottle to lather up) had a coat that now tangled easily and had lost all silkiness. Finally, the product has no organic certifications and the list of ingredients says fragrance. I go back to Earthbath or Lola & Max dog shampoos. My recommendation is to skip this one!
