Make sure the screws are tight.

These screws worked fine on my new TREX deck. Make sure the bolts are fully tightened, otherwise the plugs that go on top will not fully seat. I had to remove a couple of candles, cut off the bottoms of the new candles and replace them. I don't think they are meant to be removed so make sure the holes are drilled where you want them.
