Apparently I work slower than most consumers. I have not used the product yet. I'm slow but a real optimist. They will be the best after sliced bread.

Great mounting system! The dowels blend perfectly into the patio and the screw assembly virtually disappears when used correctly. I installed them with the shock driver which worked really well.

Cortex screws don't work. you just can't. The compatibility of these dowels with Trex is flawless, right down to the texture of the faux wood. I have offered the buyer a $100 discount if they find 5 screws in their deck. after 15 minutes he only found 1.

These screws worked fine on my new TREX deck. Make sure the bolts are fully tightened, otherwise the plugs that go on top will not fully seat. I had to remove a couple of candles, cut off the bottoms of the new candles and replace them. I don't think they are meant to be removed so make sure the holes are drilled where you want them.

The cortex system works well and the end caps look great. However, the screw heads tear off easily. When installing the 4' x 16' deck I pre-drilled all the holes but 4 screws stopped flush with the composite deck. Screw heads are easily torn off when trying to loosen or redo a screw. What now? I'll try a screw extractor or drill out the head of the screw.
