Review on Experience Comfortable Typing With Perixx PERIBOARD-613W Mini Wireless Ergonomic Split Keyboard For Windows And Mac - Dual Mode Compatibility by Julio Fernandez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Finally an ergonomic keyboard for mac

I have been using the sculpt keyboard and mouse for a bunch of years now. This has worked out pretty well, but some of the keys were never mapped correctly for mac. Also, recently it seems like mac has changed their driver so that the mouse and keyboard are not responding quickly enough. So I figured it was time to look around. This keyboard has a physical switch underneath that switches between mac and pc mappings. It can also use bluetooth or 2.4 ghz radio. It comes with command and option keys to replace the windows and alt keys. This is great as now I have an ergonomic keyboard that is truly mapped to mac. It also has no number pad which is hard to find. On most keyboards the number pad extends the keyboard out too far and makes it harder to use the mouse. And I don't really use the number pad for the way I work anyway. The bluetooth seems a lot more responsive. Wake on blue tooth is working well too.The keyboard itself requires a much fuller keystroke than I am used to, and I think I prefer the sculpt typing action better. Also, I wish there were a way to raise the back of the keyboard so it tilted downwards more. But All in all, I think this is going to be a good replacement once I get used to it. I might have given it a 4.5 starts if that was an option, but I rounded up to 5.
