Review on πŸŽ’ Kelty Pawnee 55L Backpack Incense - Ultimate Adventure Companion with Long-lasting Fragrance by Nicolai Goler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just the right size for 2-5 days

I had a Kelty Lakota 85 that was too big for weekend summer hikes (although I still managed to fill it up the first time!). In fact, this is a smaller version of this backpack. It's perfect for my 2-3 day weekend trips. It has a bit more room if you need it for a few extra days of eating or to carry other backpacking gear. Enough organization on the front to keep your little notches in the right place. It's also fairly light for a 55 liter bag (less than 4 pounds with the lid). What I like: It's very convenient to grab the front strap, some backpacks don't have this handle. There is also a strap on the back, useful too. Big enough to put most of my stuff in there (first aid kit/flashlight/headtorch/batteries/emergency lighter/etc.) Waist pocket big enough for my GPS/camera (Samsung Galaxy S5) Side pockets are a nice size, suitable for Nalgae/bear spray. The straps are adjustable enough for me (5'10" male with 32" waist) - I have the small version. The top pockets are good for my raincoat, albeit a bit small. If you're getting into camp and don't want to lug everything out of your pack to get to the tent, there are a decent amount of compression straps.

Pros
  • Hiking packs
Cons
  • Little maintainability
