Very good backpack suitable for hiking Backpacks

Kelty continue to make some of the best things for camping, this backpack is no different. Ideal for an overnight stay, maybe even 2-3 nights depending on how you pack and depending on the time of year.

Just the right size for 2-5 days

I had a Kelty Lakota 85 that was too big for weekend summer hikes (although I still managed to fill it up the first time!). In fact, this is a smaller version of this backpack. It's perfect for my 2-3 day weekend trips. It has a bit more room if you need it for a few extra days of eating or to carry other backpacking gear. Enough organization on the front to keep your little notches in the right place. It's also fairly light for a 55 liter bag (less than 4 pounds with the lid). What I like…

It's fairly light and fits my 1.80m height well. It has a good capacity and a fair amount of whistles and bells. But he could use a few more. First, unlike North Face's smaller packs, it doesn't have two compression straps under the pack, which would be handy for carrying a sleeping pad or tent, even a…

Great 50L pack for the price but good value for size/weight/features

Pros: This is a well organized pack of similar weight that will easily last 2-3 days 4 if you are creative . Straps to pull the backpack closer to you but it breathes very well and is very stable if you pack it properly. I use a couple of carabiners on both sides and also on the front chain for quick access to 'things'. up to $170; that's a good value <125; For that money, you can get Red Cloud 90 for $170-$190. Better value for money than lower or higher priced comp packs - mtnsmith…
