I highly recommend this timer. I bought this for my daughter when she was about 3 years old to help her sleep better. Our rule was to stay in her room for an hour even if she wasn't asleep. She couldn't read the clock and we needed a way for her to know how much time was left. Digital timers are not suitable for children who cannot read digital numbers or count backwards. This timer was the perfect solution. It is very easy for them to see "how much red is left". Now my daughter is 6 years old and we still use it for her and her brother to keep track of screen time and show them how much time is left for breakfast before they go to school. It's a very quick and easy visual, doesn't require a phone or iPad timer, and you can set it yourself. I like that I can choose to turn the beep on or off. When humming, only two short ones, not too loud. A bit weak and the battery dies more often than I would like, but it lasts a good 3 years and has proven useful in many ways over time.
