I am a woman in my 50s and should watch my back. With these sliders I was able to move a chest of drawers, a love bed and a double bed (without a headboard)! These XLs are best for heavy items. The tricky part is getting the sliders under the furniture. I had to pull the drawers out (which put some strain on my back) so I could tilt the furniture to get the sliders in place. Once set up, the furniture glides effortlessly over the carpet. I had to remove the queen-size mattress from the bed myself to tuck the sliders under the bed's legs. It was awful lol! - but I survived. The bed slides easily once the mattress is put back in place, but I didn't put the drawers back into the furniture until I moved them. I also ordered a size 3.5 for a light computer desk. The table is light but the legs hang on the carpet making it difficult to move, but the size 3.5 was perfect for something like this. You can reuse them or leave them in place. I ordered a set to try them out, then I ordered a few more sets!
