I was looking to install a tapered fork with a 44mm zero stack integrated headset on my Dirtjumper and this part worked for me. The top of the headset does not need to be replaced, which saves money. The part presses into the lower end of the steerer tube and the new 1 1/2" bearing fits in without a press fit. While headset standards can be confusing, if you have a 44mm ID head tube, you can easily fit in with this part attach conical tube to your existing bike, I recommend it.
