Review on Grand General 55230 16 Gauge Primary by Robbie Guinn
As others have said, it doesn't seem to be.
As others have pointed out, this isn't really 16 gauge wire. I've compared it to another 16 gauge wire I have and the OD of the wire seems to be the same gauge. But that's because the plastic insulation is thicker than usual. Because the insulation is thicker, the actual copper wires are slightly thinner than you would expect from real 16 gauge wire.
