Review on RCA Remote Control 4 Functions by Carrie Hamilton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It takes a bit of fiddling to make it work

The battery cables were misaligned and it took a few sheets of paper as spacers for the remote to even turn on. It was a little tricky to program and requires a little thought to use. The menu button is used to toggle functions on the 4-way directional buttons, which isn't mentioned anywhere in its manual. It also sends the "menu" input to the TV/DVD/Blueray/whatever device, so you point to it, press Menu, point it back at the TV, press left or right, then sideways point and press Menu to restore normal key mapping. It's as intuitive as changing the clock on an old VCR. However, it worked with an old Vizio TV and a wartime HD DVD Blueray player, so I can't complain too much.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Expensive
