I read another reader's review that other brands may have problems, this is the one that works with HP laptops. I have an HP Probook 640 G1 and an old corporate edition of the timer. I have a docking station. This HP DisplayPort to HDMI 1.4 adapter plugs into the DisplayPort on the docking station and the HDMI to HDMI cable connects to my 27" AOC 1920x1080 monitor. Crisp display, unlike the original slight blur when using a regular VGA cable. Actually I wanted to use DisplayPort to connect a 2560 x 1440 monitor. I save for that.
