Just what I needed

I needed an extra port to connect my portable monitor to my HP EliteBook. After a quick search, I found that this article was exactly what I was looking for and that others may have connection issues. Received, tested, perfect.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not the best

It worked! on computer accessories and peripherals

I tried various adapters from other universal models with my HP EliteBook 840 dock and they didn't work. no setup required! I wanted to get 1 star for the cost but sometimes you have to pay for the quality.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Out of style

Connected HP Z Book to Acer Touchscreen Monitor

This works for my HP Z Book Acer Touchscreen Monitor, no issues with sound quality or touchscreen capability using this adapter. I've had trouble with lanyard adapters, so this was my only option for connecting my laptop to a monitor. I don't really like the price or the power off button so 4 star rating. But if your company saved money by not having an HDMI connection on a work PC, this problem will be solved.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

The ones you can get for HP laptops

I read another reader's review that other brands may have problems, this is the one that works with HP laptops. I have an HP Probook 640 G1 and an old corporate edition of the timer. I have a docking station. This HP DisplayPort to HDMI 1.4 adapter plugs into the DisplayPort on the docking station and the HDMI to HDMI cable connects to my 27" AOC 1920x1080 monitor. Crisp display, unlike the original slight blur when using a regular VGA cable. Actually I wanted to use DisplayPort to connect a…

Reviewers are right

Bought this adapter based on reviews. I'm glad I did. In the end it worked great. However, it didn't work initially because I bought an old HP model "refurbished" dock for $18 that turned out to have a faulty display and USB ports. Luckily the laptop had both and they worked great. The docking station, while disappointing, at least offers an additional monitor via VGA and charges the laptop in the docking station. Not bad for $18. You get what you pay for, right? The reviewers were right about…

YES, THIS WILL FIX.

Volunteer for a local theater and need a laptop. I have HP with display port. No signal, they call me. Made updates from HP and Intel to the video scoreboards, tried another "over cat 5" solution, gave it a quick hammer shot. bought these instead. It works out. Perfect. Instantly. Other adapters I had should have done the job, but NOT with the built in Category 5 adapter. Directly over HDMI. Good picture. reconnect with the cat. 5. no. drives you crazy If you're having trouble with HP…

This is exactly the DP to HDMI adapter you need.

I have literally tried five other adapters to use with my IOGear GCS62HU KVM Switch and this is the only one that gives a crystal clear 1920x1080x60 image. Yes, it was the most expensive, but the old adage "you get what you pay for" comes to mind. Most of the others were said to be 4K capable, but each resulted in varying degrees of pixel flicker when displaying a complex dark image. To be fair, the IOGear adapter came in second, and for less than half the price, it could be just the ticket. My
