I tried this charger because I heard that charging a really dead battery and trying to start with a weak battery repeatedly is bad for the alternator and starter motor is. I don't know how true that is, but for only $30, this charger was worth trying. I used this device to charge an empty battery for a total of 24 hours over 3 days. After all this, the car started with difficulty and still died the next day. Okay, the charger can't revive a COMPLETELY dead battery. Maybe mine went too far. Except that after the charger died, I jumped in the car, let it run for 2 hours and everything was fine. Starts easily and kicks in after a few days. This device just doesn't work. Also, the instructions are pretty bad. Apparently written or translated by a non-native English speaker who only speaks spoken English. I don't care that large consumer devices have poor translation, but misusing such a device can cause shock, fire, explosion and serious damage to your vehicle. Some of these risks are small, yes, but they are still risks. The instructions for such a product must be written perfectly.
