Review on ❄️ KONIG K-SUMMIT K23 Snow Chains, Pack of 2 by Daniel Steele

Excellent chains: snow chains

I really like these chains. I used to have cables and traditional chains, but I like them a lot more. I use them when I'm in my cabin in the snow. They're a little pricey, but they're worth it. The best part is how easy they are to install - you can attach them without touching the back of the wheel, so you get less mess and installation is much quicker than regular chains. There is a video on You-tube showing how they work on a tire that helped me before I used it for the first time. Other features: - Speed - I've driven them up to 40mph which is faster than regular tracks - Up to 25 with regular tracks - Low profile for sports cars - I use them with a 2001 BMW 530i sport package with low profile wide tires - 255/40 and although there is very little space between the wheel arch and the tire they fit where regular chainrings won't. - They're also a bit quieter and smoother to move than regular chains, so I usually tilt my side mirrors down and in so I can keep an eye on them while driving (rear wheel drive). There is a little trick to this - if you over tighten the vibration will eventually pull the chain off the lug nut and the chain will come off the tire - this happened to me twice before I found out. You'll feel it after a few uses, but when you tighten it about 90% (maybe 95%, but not 100%) it's enough to keep the chain on the bar, but it stays on the bar too. The wheel nut has not come loose. I did about 20 miles at 25-35mph last week and they worked great and stayed up well. I was in a (parallel) parking lot in town and while we were having dinner it got freezing and I couldn't get out of the parking lot with bare tires. I was glad I had them so I could apply them quickly and neatly without moving the car as much as I had the cars front and back.
