These finger covers effectively protect your fingers from accidental cuts. I've tested them with several different kitchen knives, including two chef's knives and two santoku. They are all sharpened and one of them is from Cutco and in the past it almost completely cut off the tip of one of my fingers. I applied moderate pressure, enough to cut through meat and vegetables, and there was no visible damage to the glove and no damage to my finger. In my opinion, the tests were successful and I will use them in the future.
