Review on 🦢 The Ultimate Powerstep 7003 00L Dorsal Night Splints – Superior Comfort & Support by Robert Lemons

Poor design and too tight

I like the powerstep inserts so I really hoped I would like this hoop. Unfortunately it's too tight (and I wear a 7, right in the middle of the given range). The calf and ankle straps are fine, but the toe and toe straps need to be noticeably snug to close. The problem is that one of the straps only has velcro. So, to attach the other strap, they must overlap. Without pulling or stretching the straps, however, they barely touch. What I've learned over the years from using night tires is that you should be able to adjust. When you tighten a splint you almost always wake up in the middle of the night and yank it off your leg because it's very uncomfortable. Over time you will learn to loosen them just enough to be comfortable while still maintaining the ability to keep your leg in dorsiflexion. However, it cannot be solved with the Powerstep bus. And that's a shame because the tire part actually fits my instep well, which is a bit high and can be problematic. I also have to wonder how hot it can get at night as it covers quite a bit of the foot. Anyway, I use my Ovation hybrid tire which I rated 4 stars. I think I have to give up the search for a 5 star tire.
