This was the perfect solution to the fragile, unstable tree stand that came with my Target reusable tree. Two years ago my original Christmas tree stand broke so we had to put it in. in the basement (away from the cats) and I literally had to tie the top of the tree to a hook in the ceiling. We were sad that we barely had time to enjoy our Christmas tree this year. Then my mother told me to buy a Goliath. It was a great relief to be able to put my Christmas tree in my living room and not in the basement last year. making sure the tree wouldn't fall by itself (or with the help of my two cats). It was easy to install and I didn't have to ask for help, which is very important to me! It feels heavy and has an iron grip on our tree. I'm grateful that last year we actually got to enjoy our Christmas tree thanks to this tree stand. The name Goliath is very appropriate for this. I would recommend this to everyone!
