This is a solid and well built bike. Very easy to assemble. Almost anyone with two thumbs can assemble this thing. My grandniece, 18 months old, was immediately enthusiastic. She balanced on it easily and was able to push off very easily. I think they only let her ride indoors. The wheels are made from a softer poly/rubberized plastic that won't mark hardwood floors, yet still have enough traction when the bike is stable. But the wheels are still suitable for road riding on the pavement. In addition, the bike is very cute. The dog's eyes move from side to side as the handlebars are moved. I highly recommend this bike. Great little gift for a boy or girl.
