Worked on a GE refrigerator

My garage fridge freezer keeps defrosting in the winter due to low temperatures. I was hesitant to purchase this product because it is part of a fridge and my fridge is GE. GE doesn't make heaters for garage fridges, but I thought it might be worth a try for $8. There are no instructions included, just go to You Tube or the web, but it's easy nonetheless. I installed it with a little modification as it didn't quite fit like the one in the Frigidaire fridge but the principle was the same so I just plugged it in and placed it under the thermostat and its wire but didn't remove the glue . Substrate as there was no "flat" surface to stick to. So with the heater just loosely tucked under the thermostat and cord I gave it a try and my freeze compressor now turns on regularly and the freeze temp is 0 degrees after 2 days and everything inside stays frozen and my garage temp is 34 degree. Before this installation, everything in the freezer was thawed and there was a mess. Also, it works on a GE refrigerator. Highly recommended, just note that they mention that it only works with a "top freezer" style fridge and is part of a fridge, but it worked on my GE with the above mod.
