If you're like me who don't do sous vide every day but still want a little more fancy cooking tool at the weekend, I'd say it's a pretty good deal. I've only used it twice and here's my experience below What's better than the competition I've reviewed - Good job sous vide as a non-commercial culinary tool. It gives me the experience I'm looking for, whether I need to pre or post sear the steak. The temperature reading on the display is quite accurate, what I particularly like are the double-sided displays. This means I could still see how much time was left as I walked around the house. Ease of use is another plus. Everything speaks for itself. I didn't even touch the user manual or the quick start guide. I liked the storage bag. Most of the time I just pack everything in a bag and put the bag in my desk drawer. Every inch of it feels waterproof and well structured. Lots of stainless steel so it weighs decently. What could be improved in a future version (just my two cents) - It would be nice if the whole device could be made a bit smaller - I wish the power cord was longer. To give me more flexibility in space, it has a sort of commercial/machine look that's interesting but might come across as a bit aggressive to some people. Overall, I'm happy with this sub-$100 investment. I will likely add more comments in the future.
