They really help with evaporation.
I like having the extra flint but I would like it fixed somehow. I know that one day I'll drop it. But yes, it helps with evaporation. I have 2 zippos and don't use them that often. I just fill them up before I use them, but after sitting for weeks or months I don't have to fill them up as often. I like it.
