Disappointed with packing tape

I've just moved and am looking for a strong packing tape. I needed a strong cone to connect the boxes. The description implied that this belt was heavy duty and suitable for moving. It was very uncomfortable to use, kept breaking and was very thin. I don't know what job it would be useful for.
