After I received this item, I decided to hand wash it immediately to put some kitchen utensils (like plastic spoons and forks, wooden spoons, etc.) along with it to fill. This item is cheaply made. Why am I saying this? My first attempt to dry the dish rack with a paper towel scratched the item and now the mark won't go away. Also, it was too short and didn't fit many of my utensils. I will have to buy another one, hopefully a different brand this time.
