The bulbs of this lamp work well. They have 3 levels of brightness to give you just the amount of light you need for complex tasks. Magnification is also clear, without much distortion, and it's easy to use without causing fatigue. Two things could be improved: 1. The cable for the work lamp needs to be longer. The on one minimizes the area where you can use it. It's not very short, but just an extra foot makes a big difference. If you enjoy sewing or needlework what this lamp is for, you usually need a big table with all your fabrics and gadgets.2. The gooseneck is very restrictive. Sometimes you need to work on the table and not bring your work to the lamp. When I lower the lamp almost to table height, I have a hard time turning the head so that it is parallel to my work surface, and when I lower it that low the lamp loses its balance because the base is relatively light. Suction cups or a heavier base solve this problem. Not much for the price. The lamp and magnifying glass are great, but the design isn't that practical. Not great for the price.
