I saw the review was abruptly terminated just now. This laptop has served me well for almost a year now; I originally purchased it for use in academic pursuits, but now I use it for entertainment purposes as well. There has been no decline in battery life this year; I easily have enough for three or four pairs. However, there are some movies and TV shows that you can't watch at school since the battery dies quickly. The constant rubbing of my fingertips has left a darkening on the touchpad, but I don't mind it. I accidentally dropped it once, and the external screen mount came off; nevertheless, reattaching it was a breeze. As it heats up during charging, it can produce some terrifying noise. Since I got it in one of the most basic setups and didn't end up needing the illuminated keyboard, I carry it around every day without complaint.
