The product was impregnated with some kind of chemical. Although it didn't feel wet, it had a VERY strong chemical burnt smell that made my throat scratchy. I tried to air it but it didn't help. There was no way I could put it in a closet without it transferring the smell to my clothes and degrading the air quality. I don't understand how they can't hurt an expensive purse.
