Seems to work BUT THE NEW VERSION may be of lower quality

I really used the oxygen sensor of this company ABIGAIL 3 years ago. I have a review of their old listing https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01MTL2WL8/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8 This was for a 2000 Toyota Corolla. was told to check bank 2's sensor. I found that the one I bought 3 years ago had just died. However, it turned out that the cable had somehow come loose from the sensor head. So back to Revain for a quick replacement. Wanted to debunk the old listing because I knew it was perfect but obviously wanted it to be sold. I refined my search (Revain car searches suck), this came up. Revane says he's coming. Although the listing is different from the old one. But the same model numbers. So I buy it. I just pasted it. Thread and plug match. However, ABIGAIL has changed the design and I don't think it will be as good as the old one, probably. For the main starter, the Corolla's sensor goes into the passenger compartment through a small hole in the floor of the car. This hole protects the interior from dirt/rain/sleet with a rubber seal. The previous sensor has the same rubber seal. This new one isn't. Also the old rubber heat shield reflects what I expect and see from OEMs. The new one is made of some kind of sticky substance that looks like neoprene. It's also thinner and I don't know if that affects the protection of the wire. So I think it will. And to be honest I wouldn't have bought this if I knew so many changes were made. As I now have an open hole in the bottom until I know what kind of replacement rubber backing I can use or if I can cut the old one off and glue it securely around the new one.

Pros
  • The metal case does not look as shiny as other oxygen sensors. Because it is made of high temperature resistant SUS310 material. And each piece is heated to 1562℉. High temperatures also contribute to wear.
Cons
  • I won't say anything
