When my family bought the house we replaced 5 fire alarms with them. the latter finally died two years later. Not only do they honk when they die, they sound the alarm. So you wake up to what you think is a fire, but it's just overpriced crap that I'd happily throw back at the first alarm center. When this happens, the only way to stop her screams is to kill him. It was by far the worst experience I've had with a device as simple and unobtrusive as a smoke alarm. How do you break a smoke alarm? I'm serious? NEVER buy any other product, first warning.
