I'm not a gamer. I have a PS3 but I'm not a gamer. When my young, car-obsessed nephews came over for Thanksgiving, I decided to buy a steering wheel and some PS3 driving games to keep them entertained while the turkey cooked. Sabotage. The kids are 4 and 6 years old and found it a bit difficult to operate a regular PS3 controller while playing the Cars 2 video game. The steering wheel was perfect. This offered them intuitive game controls. My four year old nephew was rude with the steering wheel. "Abusive" is another adjective I could use to describe how he handled the steering wheel controls. The wheel was up to date and the suction cups on the base held up very well to his jerks and bullies. Despite my little nephew's attempts to destroy the steering wheel, it still works well. The steering arc feel is very natural and gave me good tactile feedback when trying out Gran Turismo 5 (an adult Thanksgiving treat). The paddles look exactly like the Audi Q5 I recently tested. My only criticism is that the pedals are a bit small and a bit cramped together. In an ideal world it would have a Bluetooth connection like a regular controller, but a wired connection isn't a huge disadvantage. I can't imagine a casual gamer spending more on a wheel controller, and I'm sure more. serious gamers will also find this wheel perfectly acceptable. For me it was the right controller at the right price.
