This paper is surprisingly thick and has a wonderful texture for the price. When I bought this (for my daughter) I expected it to be Crayola "watercolor paper". But after using it myself, I stole it from my daughter and gave her another watercolor pad I bought from a local art store that was of lesser quality (but around the same price!). This paper is not fine art quality. You wouldn't want to hang that up in a gallery. But for the hobbyist watercolor painter, this is a fantastic paper. That's not Strathmore quality, but it's not a Strathmore price either! Paper warps when wet, but only the most expensive paper does not warp to some degree after multiple water washes. Ideal paper for the classroom or for the "home gallery".
